Its the smallest of the four regions on Corfu. They live of the land and grow grapes, olive trees, they also have sheeps. In the old days Kassiopi was the capital of the region of Oros. The t allest mountain on Corfu also lies in this area, the great Pantokrator moutain.

Barbati: Visually stunning, it lies just  beneath the mountain of Pantocrator and looks out over some of the region's most outstanding coastal scenery. You can swim in the crystal  clear water and have fun with the water sport facilities Click for enlargement of photo.

Nissaki: a small village surrounded olive trees and a beautiful beach with rocks. You can also look over to Lake Butring in Albania.

Ag.Stefanos: Excellent place for windsurfing enthusiasts, but only if the weather permits it. Its also a very good place for swimming.

Kassiopi:  It’s a small village near to the sea. It’s a very green place, beautiful surroundings and crystal clear water. It is the center of the region of "Oros". Ancient Kassiopi was founded in 281 BC by Pyrros when he captured the island. In Kassiopi you can find the oldest fortress on Corfu island. It was built by the Romans. The Venetians demolished it and the ruins you find there today belong to the castle the Venetians built on the same spot. Click for enlargement of photo.

Aharavi: It’s a wonderful place with sea and wild waves. This village has a great history. The first name was “IVI” which means “Life”, she was the daughter of Dias the father of the Gods in Greek mythology.
In the year 32 A.C.  the village got destroyed from the roman emperor Oktavious and fellow emperor Antonious.  Antonious took Oktavious throne. The young people of the village wanted Antonious as their emperor, and for revenge Oktavious killed all the young people. Because of these happenings, the village lost the life and happiness of the young people. After this the name of the village changes into Aharavi (Ahari – no life and ivi – youth). Today this named should be changed because it’s a place full of life and happiness.

Roda: a tourist area which grows every summer season. It has a lovely sandy beach with small rocks. It has a lot of stores, tavernas and a ok nightlife. The village is situated on the end of the seven kilometers beach of Acharavi and Almiros. Here you can find a Doric temple dedicated to the Greek God Apollo. The temple was built in the 5th century BC and the finds from this spot can be found in the Archaeological museum in Corfu town.

Mount Pantokrator:  The Pantokrator (the God in Orthodox religion) is 906 meters above sea level. Up there you will find a small monastery . You can also see all of Corfu from here. The view is something more than majestic.

Kouloura: the name kouloura means ring and it comes from the nature around this beautiful place, the area looks like a half circle. Here you can find taverns near to the wonderful sea. There are no hotels, only small houses and apartments. This is the perfect place for relaxation.
